Tutorial ~
For the large 3D gashes I used my flesh toned liquid latex from Ashton Admor, cotton balls, black and brown grease paints (I don't know where I got them) and blood made from honey, golden syrup, flour, red food dye and a tinny dollop of black grease paint to give it a darker look.
First mark out where you want the gashes, then apply a thin coat of liquid latex. On top of that add small fibres from the cotton ball (like your making a scab) and cover with more liquid latex. Repeat this process until your happy with the look, I did it three times.

Then once the latex is dry, apply black and brown grease paints on top, red around the edges (remember to smudge) and then add blood on the top edge of the gash. Don't worry if it pulls away from the skin, mine did and the final look was better for it
